Echoing GreenSince 1987, Echoing Green has provided seed funding and support to nearly 450 social entrepreneurs with bold ideas for social change in order to launch groundbreaking organizations around the world. Echoing Green was essential to Buffalo ReUse’s startup through their award of a Fellowship to Michael Gainer to enable him to fund early startup costs. PUSH BuffaloPeople United for Sustainable Housing (PUSH) is a grassroots, non-profit community organization working to rebuild the West Side of Buffalo. PUSH organizes residents to confront institutions that perpetuate poverty on the West Side and to create and implement an action plan for improving the neighborhood. Buffalo ReUse and PUSH Buffalo are aligned philosophically, politically and work together to develop and implement creative solutions to our city’s challenges. PUSH Buffalo served us as a pass-through for grants and tax-deductible contributions during our first year of operation. |
